I believe that all of us – no matter who we are – have the resources we need to overcome any challenge. I use a strengths-based and person-centered approach to treatment, which puts you and your unique skills first. Together, we’ll make a plan to help you meet your goals. And I promise you a warm, safe and non-judgmental environment.
I became a therapist to help other people navigate the challenges I’ve experienced in my own life. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve worked with a diverse group of people in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, substance abuse and mental health agencies.
I’ve worked with children and adolescents in Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services, and adults in individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy.
I am well-versed in high-risk assessments. I have helped clients navigate anxiety, depression, self-injurious behavior, grief, substance use disorders, and social and familial conflict. I am skilled at identifying where higher levels of care can be helpful.
In addition, I’ve been an adjunct professor for over 10 years and teach introductory courses to beginner social work students.
I’m a mother of three beautiful grown children. When I’m not working, you can find me hiking, reading a good book while drinking hot tea, or traveling the country with my dog, Molly.

My Specialities
-
Are you feeling lost, isolated, overwhelmed or incapacitated by current abuse or past trauma? We can work together to build safety from the abuse and address the emotions that come from painful experiences.
-
Are you struggling to move past the loss of a loved one? Feeling overwhelmed with grief from the state of the world? Together we’ll build a new practice for you to name and embrace the difficult emotions you’re experiencing.
-
Are you struggling with imposter syndrome? Feeling like you’re never going to be “good enough”? Trying to build more confidence? Let’s work together to develop a more authentic, supportive relationship with the most important person in your life – you.
-
Does everything feel too overwhelming? Does anger, worry, or fear take over in important moments? It’s okay, you are not alone – and there are practices we can cultivate to meet you in the moment with calm and ease.
